TÖTO, LA HELADERÍA ARTESANAL A LA QUE QUERRÁS VOLVER

Ya es oficial: el calor ha llegado para quedarse. Si del frío te puedes proteger tapándote un poco más, del calor poco se puede hacer más que bebiendo cosas frescas y, por supuesto, disfrutando de un riquísimo helado. Ya sea en tarrina con muchos toppings, en cono de una o varias bolas, en palo... son muchas las opciones que tienes a la hora de elegir qué helado quieres degustar.

Por no hablar de los sabores (que parece que cada día inventan uno nuevo) y de las heladerías, esos templos veraniegos a los que todos acudimos una o varias veces a la semana.

Yo, paseando por la reinagurada Plaza de España, he descubierto Töto, una heladería artesanal con sabores muy potentes y diferentes a los típicos de siempre con una textura cremosa increíble y muy, pero que muy apetitosos.

It's official: the heat is here to stay. If you can protect yourself from the cold by covering up a little more, from the heat you can do little more than drink cool things and, of course, enjoy a delicious ice cream. Whether in a cup with many toppings, in a cone with one or more scoops, on a stick... there are many options when it comes to choosing which ice cream you want to enjoy.

Not to mention the flavors (it seems that every day they invent a new one) and the ice cream parlors, those summer temples that we all go to once or several times a week.

Walking through the reopened Plaza de España, I discovered Töto, an artisan ice cream store with very powerful flavors and different from the typical ones, with an incredible creamy texture and very, very tempting.

Töto ha sido, sin duda, mi gran descubrimiento de este verano. ¿Qué os puedo recomendar? Yo me tomé una tarima pequeña de dulce de leche que estaba para resucitar a un muerto, pero me han dicho que el de caramelo salado o el de chocolate blanco con lima no le hacen sombra.

Para mejorar aún más, muchos de sus sorbetes se elaboran sin lactosa para que todos puedan disfrutarlos. Un lugar excelente y acogedor para pasar una buena tarde. Además, otra recomendación son sus increíbles tartas y sus galletas. Hay tantas opciones y tan buenas que no sabrás ni por dónde empezar y vas a querer volver.

Töto was without a doubt my great discovery this summer. What can I suggest? I had a small cup of dulce de leche that seemed to raise a dead man from the grave, but I've been told that the salted caramel or the white chocolate with lime don't even come close.

To make it even better, many of their sorbets are made lactose-free so that everyone can enjoy them. An excellent and cozy place to spend a good afternoon. Also, another recommendation is their incredible cakes and cookies. There are so many options and so good that you won't even know where to start and you will want to come back.

Los helados de Töto están elaborados con leche y nata ecológica de vaca que aportan un 7-8% de grasa “de la buena” al producto final. El porcentaje es de los más bajos que hay en el mercado, siguiendo la línea que trabajan los heladeros que defienden la escuela mediterránea frente a la escuela americana (en donde encuentras este porcentaje multiplicado por tres).

Esta es la segunda heladería que la marca tiene en Madrid (la otra está en Malasaña) y ya planean abrir una tercera en Chueca en breve.

Töto's ice creams are made with organic cow's milk and cream that contribute 7-8% of "good" fat to the final product. The percentage is one of the lowest in the market, following the line of the ice cream makers who defend the Mediterranean school as opposed to the American school (where you find this percentage multiplied by three).

This is the second ice cream place that the brand has in Madrid (the other one is in Malasaña) and they are planning to open a third one in Chueca soon.
