Si algo me gusta de la ropa de primavera/verano es la cantidad de posibilidades que nos ofrece la combinación de colores, de texturas, de formas. Es asombroso.
Pero...por más que las marcas y los diseñadores nos tienten con sus nuevas propuestas hay algo en nuestro armario que siempre llevamos haga frío o calor, esté de moda o no: una camisa o una cazadora vaquera. ¿ A qué no me equivoco? Y si encima las combinamos con unos pantalones chinos, pues tan panchos.
De todas formas hay que tener cuidado; algunos creen que aquella cazadora Denim del 84 aún está de moda y la llevan como si nadie se percatase. Y no, esa no. El Denim se reinventa cada año, los materiales son distintos ( incluso más resistentes que antes) y las formas también. Yo os voy a proponer 5 formas de combinar vuestra camisa o cazadora vaquera para que no parezca la misma. Os asombrará el resultado.
As much as I love the changing seasons and fall and winter layering, it’s a relief to get back to more moderate temperatures when early spring hits.
That means certain pieces come back into the rotation, and some go in storage. I’ve found there’s one item I somehow manage to find a way to wear nearly year-round — my trusty denim jacket.
No matter the season, I always find a way to layer it up in winter or rock it with lightweight chinos in the summer.
There’s likely a good reason for that, the same reason why the traditional style and silhouette has endured — with twists and turns — through so many decades. It’s timeless, it’s rugged and the best ones are built to last (quite like your favorite pair of dark denim, actually).
And as you’ll see below, there’s certainly no shortage of ways in which to style this piece. Care for it properly, and it’ll last you even longer.
Everyday Essentials
La primera opción es darle un aire informal a tu día a día. Es sencillamente cambiar la Americana por la cazadora vaquera. Al principio, si no estás acostumbrado, parece un poco intimidante pero a ojos de los demás parecerá moderno y renovado.

Starting out wearing a denim jacket can be a little intimidating, particularly if you’re not used to the style (it certainly took me a while to get used to it). But that intimidation factor can be avoided by subbing in the denim jacket in place of a navy blazer or bomber jacket in a four-season outfit.

Rock N’ Roll
Mi segunda recomendación es un poco más rockera años 50 y principio de los 60 (pero tranquilo, no vas a tener el aire de "viejo rockero que nunca muere"). Un simple vaquero negro gastado ajustado y una camiseta blanca arrugada te darán la apariencia de "rebelde sin causa" que tanto nos gusta. El remate final lo ponen las botas negras, los calcetines a rayas y, por supuesto, tu cazadora Denim. Un consejo, los calcetines que sean over-tops, es decir que sobresalgan un poco por encima de las botas.

A denim jacket also works quite well alongside pieces that have a classic-yet-vintage vibe — like the off-white sweatshirt you see here. Paired with an ever-reliable chambray shirt and slim grey chinos, it’s a great way to play cooler shades of color off each other.

Esta propuesta a mi particularmente me chifla por arriesgada e informal. Se trata de ponerse corbata con la cazadora vaquera, botas de ante y camisa color carbón claro. La combinación ( a priori extraña) es a la vez clásica e innovadora. Los pantalones verde oliva militar te parecerán extraños aquí pero me gustaría que les dieras una oportunidad; combinan francamente bien.
Si te das cuenta he puesto en esta propuesta colores de las cuatro estaciones del año dandote un aire pop que te gustará. Atención a las botas de ante estilo Chelsea con un poco de punta. Son estupendas y fáciles de llevar.
Si te pusieras todo esto con una Americana clásica parecería normal, pero con tu cazadora vaquera estaríamos hablando de un look años 70 que te dará personalidad.
Outfit number four here really works off the principle that a well-cut, dark blue denim jacket can work just as well as a navy blazer. A charcoal Oxford from the always-reliable folks at Taylor Stitch (or whatever white or grey Oxford you’ve got in your closet) grounds the pindot tie and olive chinos nicely.
If you’ve never thought of pairing olive and navy together, give it a shot — both are rich, four-season colors that can deliver some pop in the fall or winter while playing it cool in the spring and summer.
Tan suede Chelsea boots are a bit of a swerve from brown wingtips (although you could also wear those). The great thing about using a denim jacket in place of a blazer is the fact that you can dial back your accessories appropriately — hence the use of a classic brown leather watch again.
Summer-Ready
Si piensas que no puedes llevar tu cazadora vaquera en verano, estás muy equivocado ( siempre que la temperatura no se asfixiante, claro está) Lo mejor es lo simple. Ya lo veis en la foto, pantalón chino color canela ( eso sí, súbelos un poco al estilo pescadero) con camisa de manga corta gris claro de corte contemporáneo y zapatillas de cuero blanco impoluto. Atención al cinturón vintage y al reloj con la correa verde. ¿Original, a qué si?
Fijaos que el look es bien simple e informal y bien podría valer tanto para adultos como para niños. Tu cazadora Denim te aportará el aire retro y te protegerá de las traicioneras noches de primavera en las que las temperaturas bajan en picado.
Lest you think that a denim jacket is too heavy to wear in the summer, there are still ways to rock it — on days when it’s not overwhelmingly hot, that is.
The best approach would be to keep things simple — a contemporary, slim-cut short-sleeve shirt helps out with the heat (and looks sharp, too), while the tan jeans are a nice change of pace from light wash or black denim.
The built-in stretch of that denim certainly works well in terms of comfort, too. Finishing things off with a sharp pair of white leather sneakers keeps the outfit summer-friendly, while a classic Timex grounds the whole look casually, too.
