En 1945 nacía en Francia la revista ELLE. Dicho así parece una fecha cualquiera en el calendario, pero nada más lejos de la realidad. Ese año acabó la Segunda Guerra Mundial, las mujeres recuperaban su derecho al voto en el país vecino y se respiraban aires de libertad en la Europa liberada que dio lugar, entre otros muchos acontecimientos, a la salida al mercado de esta maravillosa revista de moda y lifestyle que dio alas a muchas mujeres para cumplir sus sueños de independencia y libertad.
Desde Entonces ELLE ha intentado mantenerse fiel a ese espíritu revolucionario que le ha diferenciado de otras publicaciones más o menos similares.
Este año ha cumplido 75 y desde su lanzamiento hasta hoy, la revista ha evolucionado y se ha convertido en una marca global. Con 45 ediciones internacionales, es la publicación de moda más vendida del mundo que sigue manteniéndose fiel al legado de su fundadora: estar siempre al lado de la mujer e impulsarla a vivir lo mejor de su vida.

In 1945 magazine ELLE was born in France. It seems like a date in the calendar, but nothing could be further from the truth. That year World War II ended, women were regaining their right to vote in the neighboring country and the airs of freedom were being breathed in liberated Europe which led, among many other events, to the launching of this wonderful fashion and lifestyle magazine that gave wings to many women to fulfill their dreams of independence and freedom.
Since then ELLE has tried to remain loyal to that revolutionary spirit that has set it apart from other more or less similar publications.
This year it turned 75 and since its launch until today, the magazine has evolved and become a global brand. With 45 international editions, it's the world's best-selling fashion publication that continues to stay true to its founder's legacy: to be always by the woman's side and empower them to live the best of their lives.
And 'to celebrate this history of companionship, the city of Madrid hosts the great exhibition "ELLE, 75 years at women side"

Con esta exposición, ELLE quiere homenajear a todas las mujeres que han soñado, caminado y crecido junto a la revista desde su nacimiento, hace 75 años. Todas ellas comparten valores universales que las unen por encima de su nacionalidad, edad o raza. Todas ellas son positivas, comprometidas, sobrenaturales, independientes, chic, apasionadas, audaces, creativas, influyentes, sensibles y atemporales. Todas ellas han hecho suya una manera de mirar el mundo y forman una comunidad sin fronteras que comparte los mismos códigos de amor por la moda y por la alegría de vivir.
With this exhibition, ELLE seeks to honor all the women who have dreamed, walked and grown up with the magazine since its birth, 75 years ago. All of them share universal values that unite them above their nationality, age or race. They are all positive, committed, supernatural, independent, chic, passionate, bold, creative, influential, sensitive and timeless. All of them have made their own a way of looking at the world and form a community without borders that shares the same codes of love for fashion and for the joy of living.
Desde su nacimiento, la revista ELLE ha jugado un papel muy importante dentro del mundo de la moda, con portadas que han pasado a la historia por reflejar a mujeres comprometidas, influyentes, independientes, apasionadas…en definitiva, por apoyar e impulsar el talento, aplaudir sus éxitos y amplificar sus luchas.
Modelos como Linda Evangelista, Inés Sastre o Vanesa Lorenzo o actrices como Brigitte Bardot, Gwyneth Paltrow y Aitana Sánchez Gijón, son algunas de las protagonistas de esta muestra en la que se recogen más de 140 portadas de la revista.
