Frente al LP5 original, el nuevo modelo añade también la velocidad de 78 RPM a las 33 y 45 previos. Por otro lado, una novedad aún más relevante es la versatilidad que ofrece al soportar cápsulas MM y MC. No falta el correspondiente puerto USB para digitalizar vinilos (349 euros).

Algo por debajo del nivel del Technica AT-LP5X, este modelo ofrece todo lo necesario para disfrutar de nuestra música favorita con un sonido cálido y un diseño minimalista.
Cuenta con control para la velocidad, un interruptor de encendido/standby y preamplificador de buena calidad, además de conectores RCA, salida tierra, salida línea/phono y puerto USB. No obstante, la mayor diferencia respecto a otros modelos de gama similar es su capacidad para convertir directamente la música de los vinilos en archivos digitales de alta definición (399 euros).
Anything that keeps vinyl fresh and appealing is gold in our eyes, and the PS-HX500 is a good example of that. It's a best-of-both turntable that caters for record spinning and hi-res ripping, and to anyone torn between their affection for the nostalgia and tangibility of vinyl, and the convenience and practicality of digital.
As always, performance is king, though, and in this instance that only furthers the Sony’s likeability; while it’s not the classiest-looking turntable on the market, it has all the class in the sound suite instead. A very good buy.
