En 2007, los diseñadores italianos Lorenzo De Rosa y Ernesto Iadevaiadecidieron unir sus potenciales creativos bajo el seudónimo de Sovrappensiero. Daba comienzo así, un fructífero estudio de diseño con sede en Milán del que han salido una retahíla de peculiares objetos con un denominador común: la poética.

Entre sus últimas propuestas me ha llamado mucho la atención FurNature. Una colección de mobiliario para el hogar con ciertos aires surrealistas que, como punto de partida, mira a la naturaleza fijamente buscando la inspiración y la resolución de sus formas.
Highlighting the disconnect between owner and product, Sovrappensiero Design Studio have created Furnature; a project they tell us addresses the problem that ‘products are ours only because we purchased them’.
Aesthetically anonymous, the buyer can ‘complete the piece by adding natural elements found in a specific location and chosen according to his own tastes, needs and links with the territory’. It’s kind of Ikea meets Glastonbury’s Healing Field.
Hanger presents a steel frame that can be transformed by sticks and stones; a Side Table embellished by stone; Domestic Landscape is a marble and wood vice-turned-objet d’art, ready for whichever element of nature takes your fancy; a Towel Rack and Hourglass complete the artful collection.
Con pequeñas pinceladas de sentido del humor, desde Sovrappensiero proponen una serie de objetos cotidianos que en primera instancia parecen inacabados, incluso toscos. Sin embargo, todos y cada uno de ellos son tremendamente funcionales; además de adaptables a muchos espacios estéticamente hablando. Los detalles de elementos naturales como piedras o palos de madera sin a penas estar tallados, aparecen combinados con materiales más sofisticados como el acero inoxidable o vidrio. El resultado es un conjunto de muebles muy imaginativos que abarca desde una mesa lateral, un estante de la toalla, un reloj de arena y una percha que, al observarlos y utilizarlos, ofrecen un necesario contrapunto reflexivo y estético.
Sovrappensiero Design Studio was born in Milan in 2007 from the creative collaboration between Lorenzo De Rosa and Ernesto Iadevaia. Their first innovative project, “Design for blind people”, is presented at Salone Satellite in 2008 and since then, the path articulated through continuous experimentation, between research and industrial production, to which the duo tenaciously applies their delicate poetic and dreamlike vision.
Recognized among the most interesting emerging designers in the Italian landscape, they collaborate with several companies of Italian design as Porada, Incipit, Corraini and Manerba.
In 2014 they won the first prize in the competition “Young & Design”, with the project “Cook” realized for the company Mamoli. Product design is combined with interior design and furnishings, communication and education at the Politecnico di Milano.
