Ya sabemos que en este 2020 no estamos para muchas fiestas. Lo único que queremos es que se vaya de una vez por todas y no vuelva jamás. Pero, como a mal tiempo buena cara,si tienes compromisos mejor será que pongas tu mejor cara y afrontes las fiestas navideñas con alegría, esperanza y, sobre todo, bien vestidos.
Seguramente este año ha sido el que más tiempo has pasado en casa de toda tu vida. Entre el confinamiento, el teletrabajo, el toque de queda etc, etc... estarás hartísimo de ponerte ropita cómoda , así que anímate y luce tus mejores galas. La ocasión lo merece.
Sólo recomendarte que actúes con prudencia y que sigas las recomendaciones de las autoridades sanitarias para que, entre todos, contengamos el virus.

We all know that 2020 is not a year for many celebracions. All we want is that it goes away for good and never come back. But when the weather is bad, it is better to take an umbrella, so lets face Christmas season with joy, hope and, above all, well dressed.
As this year has probably been the one you have spent the most time at home in your life, you will be fed up with putting on comfortable clothes for everything: for teleworking, for being with your family, for watching your favorite shows, for going to the supermarket... so cheer up and wear your best clothes. The moment is worth it.
Here's a quick guide to dressing for each of the upcoming holiday events.
La cena de empresa.
Esta es la típica cena que convocan para hacer equipo pero terminas sentándote con tus coleguitas de oficina. Ten en cuenta dos cosas: que es una cena con amigos pero te va a ver el jefe. Ve a lo seguro, elige algo formal, aunque no demasiado, será una cena despreocupada, por lo que podrás permitirte un toque más casual.
Empieza con una base de jersey de punto (ya sea de cuello redondo o alto) y un pantalón sastre o un vaquero oscuro. Remata con una americana o una cazadora corta (dependiendo del nivel de informalidad que te puedas permitir) y unos botines Chelsea.
The corporate dinner.
This is the typical dinner that is called to make team but you end up sitting with your little office colleagues. Keep two things in mind: it's a dinner with friends but the boss will see you. Play it safe, choose something formal, but not too much, it will be a carefree dinner, so you will be able to afford a more casual touch.
Start with a knit sweater base (either round or high collar) and a pair of tailored pants or a dark denim jacket. Top it off with a blazer or short jacket (depending on the level of casualness you can afford) and some Chelsea boots.
Nochebuena.
La primera prueba de fuego, se reúne toda la familia, incluyendo esas personas a las que sólo ves una vez al año y que de ti retendrán la imagen que proyectes esa noche (al menos hasta el año siguiente). No queremos meter presión, sólo exponer los hechos.
El traje será tu mejor amigo. Si la cena se prevé extremadamente formal, encorbátate entero, incluso puedes añadir un chaleco. Si, en cambio, es más relajada, puedes quitar la chaqueta al llegar y quedarte con tu camisa impoluta (sin corbata) o tu jersey de cuello vuelto.
Christmas Eve.
The first test of fire, the whole family gathers, including those people you only see once a year and who will remember the image you show that night (at least until the following year). We don't want to put any pressure on them, just to state the facts.
The suit will be your best friend. If the dinner is expected to be extremely formal, tie yourself up in one piece, you can even add a vest. If it's more relaxed, you can take the jacket off when you arrive and keep your shirt clean (no tie) or your turtleneck.
Navidad.
Te levantas con la resaca del día anterior y, por si no hubieras tenido suficiente con los excesos de la Nochebuena, es el turno de la comida del día de Navidad. Regalos porque ha llegado Papá Noel, niños gritando, comida, todos reunidos en el salón, no puedes demostrar la decadencia que sufre internamente tu cuerpo por la noche precedente.
El jersey grueso de cuello vuelto es una de las apuestas más cómodas para este día de ajetreo. Irás calentito y evitarás que se ciña demasiado al cuerpo. Combínalo con un pantalón de lana o con un vaquero oscuro y unas buenas botas, ya sean acordonadas o Chelsea.
Christmas Day

Superar la Nochevieja puede ser algo duro, trágico. Incluso si lo consigues, podrías estar ante una heroica proeza en estas fechas que corren. Eso sí, pase lo que pase, un hombre de bien siempre tendrá buen aspecto al día siguiente. Una vez consigues que tu cara no te delate– quizá con algo de ayuda cosmética–, no permitas que lo haga tu aspecto, ten preparado algo cómodo y respetable: camisa, jersey, vaqueros y zapatillas. Ah, y que no se te olviden las gafas de sol.
New Year’s Day.
Getting through New Year's Eve can be hard, tragic. Even if you make it through, you could be looking at a heroic feat this time of year. But no matter what happens, a good man will always look good the next day. Once you manage to keep your face from giving you away - perhaps with some cosmetic help - don't let your looks do it, have something comfortable and respectable ready: shirt, sweater, jeans and slippers. Oh, and don't forget your sunglasses.
