No hay nada peor que cortarte el pelo y darte cuenta después que no te va nada, que te hace la cara demasiado redonda o demasiado alargada etc. Muchos peluqueros no quieren romperse la cabeza y te hacen lo que tú quieras con tal de no perder un cliente.
Bueno, pues tienes que saber que a cada forma de cara le va un corte de pelo determinado. Cada persona es diferente. NO todo vale con tal de parecerse al deportista o actor de moda y, así, hacer que más gente se fije en ti. Mirad, como norma general los rostros alargados necesitan un corte de pelo más corto, los anchos que les de forma y los rostros angulares necesitan suavizarse. Hair trends change all the time, yet the majority of styles are not ‘one size fits all’ – some WILL look better with different face shapes, therefore it’s extremely important to take this into account when choosing your next haircut.
Each person is different and our face shapes vary massively. Some men will have to take their face shape into account more than others; the majority will want to create the impression of a squarer face shape, which is both incredibly masculine and widely recognised as the most pleasing to the eye.

ROSTRO OVALADO
Este rostro, podemos considerarlo ideal ya que guarda bastante las proporciones, por lo que cualquier peinado te quedará genial, aunque quizás los más cortos los que mejor puedan marcar la perfección de tus facciones. Un apunte. no lleves peinados con mucho flequillo ya que se te verá el rostro más ovalado todavía y a poder ser elige peinados o cortes en los que el cabello se peine hacia arriba, hacia un lado o hacia atrás, ya que la frente despejada favorece mucho para este tipo de rostro.

ROSTRO CUADRADO
El corte ideal para este tipo de rostro es poder suavizar un poco tus facciones, y que los ángulos de tu cara no se marquen tanto por lo que un corte con volumen en el centro, y los lados rapados, serán sin duda tu corte de cabello perfecto. Los flequillos también pueden quedarte muy bien y como no, el “spiky” (primera foto a la izquierda) será un estilo al que puedes sacarle mucho partido.

If you want to wear your hair in this way then I would recommend trying to keep the shape well proportioned – don’t take the sides too short or leave the top too long.

ROSTRO REDONDEADO
El mejor corte será un corte largo que permita disimular un poco esa redondez, como por ejemplo una media melena, o concentrar mayor volumen en la parte alta de la cabeza para poder atraer a este punto todas las miradas. Los peinados con raya puede que te favorezcan también o como ves arriba todos aquellos con los que “juegues” en lo que respecta al volúmen y hacia arriba de modo que puedas crear el efecto de que las facciones redondeadas quedan algo más disimuladas.
A round face has no angles or prominent lines, therefore it’s important to choose a style that can be worn with a bit of height. It doesn’t have to be spiky but adding volume keeps the face from looking too round.
Try to avoid sharp fringes as they only accentuate the natural roundedness of the face shape. Likewise, too much length coming onto the face can produce a similar effect. Softer edges to the hair will help counter this.
ROSTRO DIAMANTE

Puedes apostar por llevar una media melena y combinarla con una barba que te permita sacar mayor partido a tus pómulos. Los estilos “hipsters” de peinados, con melenas algo despeinadas son otra buena opción para este tipo de rostro así como las últimas tendencias en tupes y peinados hacia arriba que atraerán la atención frente a tus facciones.

Shorter hairstyles will only accentuate the upper part of the face. A great way to balance a heart shaped face would be to grow some form of facial hair. Stubble or a short beard would help maintain the proportions between the upper and lower halves of the face.

Unfortunately, it’s very difficult to choose a hairstyle to go with this face shape. I would suggest going for longer hairstyles but with plenty of layers to add width AND volume on top. A slight fringe could also help soften the silhouette.
If you do wear your hair long with this face shape, try to avoid layering too much around the face as this will only accentuate the jawline.

Mi consejo: escucha al profesional. Asesórate. Préstale atención a sus consejos. Al fin y al cabo él o ella está haciendo su trabajo y tú le vas a pagar por ello. Si al final no te gusta lo que ha hecho o no te ves con el peinado siempre habrá vuelta atrás y podrás hacer el clasico "cortito". Ánimo y se tú.

I would always suggest asking your stylist if they think the haircut you have chosen will suit your face shape – if they don’t think it will, ask how you can alter the style to make it work for you.
