Para lucir un buen tupรฉ, lo principal es tener una cantidad de pelo importante, con una longitud superior a 5cm para poder trabajarlo. Sin duda, es uno de los peinados clรกsicos por excelencia, sumamente versรกtil y ademรกs muy cool. Cรณmo hacerlo y cรณmo lucirlo, quizรกs no requiera de mucho esfuerzo, pero en ocasiones, cรณmo mantenerlo sรญ que nos da algรบn quebradero de cabeza, ademรกsโฆ hay tupรฉs de muchos tipos.

El tupรฉ es uno de los peinados mรกs icรณnicos de la historia, popularizado en los aรฑos 50 por dos leyendas absolutas de la mรบsica y el cine como Elvis Presley y James Dean. Actualmente lo vemos mucho en el mundo del fรบtbol y tambiรฉn ocasionalmente en algunos actores de Hollywood como Andrew Garfield, Guy Pearce o Austin Butler (mรกs allรก de que interpretara a Elvis hace unos aรฑos). Otros como Justin Bieber, Adam Levine, Johnny Depp o Zac Efron tambiรฉn fueron asiduos al tupรฉ, incluso lo llegaron a popularizar en los 70, como en el caso de John Travolta (Grease).
Aunque es un peinado que durante aรฑos estuvo vinculado al mundo del rock y las bandas, en la actualidad se relaciona con un perfil de ejecutivo y cuidado diario, ya que basta con unย secador,ย un cepillo, una pomada para el cabello y una laca para la fijaciรณn. Para otros tupรฉs mรกs sutiles, es suficiente un poco de texturizante o laca, si bien lo mejor, es llevarlo siempre al lado contrario del remolino de la frente para conseguir el mรกximo volumen.

Nowadays we see it a lot in the football world and also occasionally on some Hollywood actors like Andrew Garfield, Guy Pearce or Austin Butler (even though he played Elvis a few years ago). Although it is a hairstyle that for years was linked to the world of rock and bands, today it is linked to an executive profile and to daily care, since it is enough to use a hairdryer, a brush, a pomade for the hair and a hairspray to fix it. For other, more subtle toupees, a little texturizer or hairspray is enough, although it is best to always wear it on the opposite side of the forehead swirl for maximum volume.
ยฟCuรกl es el tupรฉ mรกs adecuado para nuestro tipo de rostro?
El tupรฉ nos da mรบltiples posibilidades ya sea mรกs corto o mรกs largo, con los lados rapados o con dos o mรกs cm de longitud, ya que se puede peinar todo hacia atrรกs, hacia un lado o un poco despeinado. Favorece ademรกs a todo tipo de rostros, aunque bien es cierto que un volumen mรกs pronunciado en la parte superior y con un degradado muy agresivo en los laterales, no queda bien en rostros mรกs aniรฑados o redondos. La elecciรณn que hagamos en el volumen del flequillo serรก determinante en el resultado. Este debe ser mรกs largo que el resto, si lo queremos dejar tanto hacia atrรกs como un poco ladeado, mรญnimo hay que dejar de tres a cuatro dedos de longitud (6cm) y los laterales, ya sean rapados o con mรกs longitud, deben ir muy pegados.
Mucha cantidad y densidad capilar es lo principal que se requiere para un buen tupรฉ. Si tenemos poco, se puede intentar: โTambiรฉn es importante que el pelo tenga cierta longitud, ya que con menos de 5cm serรก casi imposible generar la sensaciรณn de tupรฉ, lo adecuado serรญan unos 10cm como mรญnimo en la parte de la frente. Y si tienes el pelo rizado - en los que queda especialmente bien el tupรฉ- cuรกnto mรกs largo el cabello en la zona frontal, mucho mejor. En rostros alargados o delgados, es mejor evitar el tupรฉ ya que de por sรญ, alarga la caraโ โ nos comenta Paul Tudor, director del salรณn David Kรผnzle Fuencarral.

A lot of hair quantity and density is the main thing required for a good toupee. If we have little, we can try: "It is also important that the hair has a certain length, since with less than 5 cm it will be almost impossible to generate the sensation of a toupee, the appropriate would be about 10 cm at least in the part of the forehead. And if you have curly hair - which looks especially good with a toupee - the longer the hair at the front, the better. On long or thin faces, it is better to avoid the toupee, as it lengthens the face" - says Paul Tudor, director of the salon David Kรผnzle Fuencarral.
Cรณmo darle forma y volumen
Para dar forma al tupรฉ, se recomienda usar el secador y peinarlo tanto con temperatura como velocidad media, para asรญ conseguir un mayor control. El secreto es secarlo todo hacia atrรกs menos el flequillo, que tanto en los laterales como en la zona de la coronilla no tengamos apenas volumen y en cambio el flequillo podamos peinarlo hacia delante con un cepillo redondo, donde le daremos el volumen deseado para a continuaciรณn llevarlo hacia detrรกs o hacia un lado.
Y para crear mucho mรกs volumen a un tupรฉ: โAgacha la cabeza mirando al suelo y seca de abajo hacia arriba, utilizando un cepillo redondo si lo que quieres es darle forma a cada mechรณn mientras se va secando. Una vez creado el volumen, con otro cepillo redondo cogemos un poco de cera mate y empezamos a darle la forma que mรกs nos gusteโ โ aconseja Paul Tudor. Desde David Kรผnzleย recomiendan elegir muy bien los productos que se requieren para mantenerlo, como pomadas o sprays de fijaciรณn para un efecto seco y bien estructurado, o una buena cera si buscamos un look mรกs informal.

And to add much more volume to your hair: "Bend your head so that you are looking at the floor and dry from the bottom up, using a round brush if you want to give shape to each strand as it dries. Once the volume has been created, use another round brush to pick up some matte wax and start shaping it to your liking," advises Paul Tudor. David Kรผnzle recommends choosing the right maintenance products, like pomades or fixatives for a dry, well-structured effect, or a good wax if you want a more informal look.
