El sábado pasado estaba tan harto del mogollón de gente que había en Madrid que cogí a mi perrita Sara y me fui con ella a explorar un sitio en Segovia que me había recomendado un amigo; la Boca del Asno, un precioso paraje natural justo bajando el puerto de Navacerrada. Menuda grata sorpresa me llevé. Es justo lo que uno entiende por pasar un día tranquilo en el campo huyendo del stress de la ciudad: aguas limpias, bosques frondosos, poca gente y mucha, muchísima tranquilidad. Sara tuvo su primera experiencia en bañarse en un río y ,aunque al principio no le hizo mucha gracia, luego repitió una y otra vez.
Y lo mismo haré yo, repetiré la experiencia porque creo que, por fin, he encontrado el sitio perfecto para escaparme un rato del bullicio de la ciudad y volver con las pilas un poco más cargadas.
Last Saturday I was so sick of the crowd of people in Madrid that I took my puppy Sara and I went with her to explore a place in Segovia that had been recommended by a friend; La Boca del Asno ( The Ass´s Mouth), a beautiful natural spot just bellow the port of Navacerrada. What a pleasant surprise I took. It is exactly what we all think to spend a quiet day in the countryside fleeing from the stress of the city: clean waters, leafy forests, few people and much, much peace. Sara had her first experience in bathing in a river and, although at first she was not very funny, then she repeated again and again.
And I will do the same, I will repeat the experience because I think, at last, I have found the perfect place to escape for a while from the bustle of the city and return with my batteries a little more reloaded.
Como La Boca del Asno se encuentra en plena Sierra de Guadarrama la temperatura es más bien fresquita así que no os va a sobrar un jersey o algo de manga larga. Si queréis andar por el bosque hay multitud de rutas señaladas que recorren el curso del río donde os vais a poder bañar sin problemas ya que no cubre casi nada. También hay merenderos para comer y multitud de espacios donde sentarse tranquilamente y respirar. Toda esta zona está declarada desde 2013 Reserva Natural de la Biosfera así que tenemos que cuidarla como oro en paño.
As La Boca del Assno is in Sierra de Guadarrama the temperature is rather cool so you better take a sweater or something with long sleeve. If you want to walk in the forest there are many marked routes that cross the river where you can bathe without problems because it is safe to swing. There are also picnic lunches areas and plenty of places to sit quietly and breathe. All this area is declared since 2013 Natural Reserve of the Biosphere so we have to take care of it like a baby.
¿ A qué mola un poco de tranquilidad de vez en cuando? No sé vosotros, pero para mí es importantísimo salir de vez en cuando a respirar aire puro y, de paso, sacudirme todos los problemas del día a día en un sitio tranquilo y sin bullicio.
Y si encima lo compartes con los que más quieres en este mundo...pues ya ni os cuento. A la vida no se le puede pedir más y es mucho más sencilla de lo que parece.
So, Is it great a bit of peace and quiet from time to time, Isn´t ? I do not know for you, but for me it is very important to go out and breathe fresh air from time to time and, meanwhile, shake off all the problems of everyday life in a quiet and great place.
And if you share it with those you love most in this world ... oh well I can not even tell you. Life is more much simple of what we think it is.
