1. Hacer una lista de lo necesario
No confíes ciegamente en tu memoria de elefante macho alfa. Ten a mano una libreta y ve apuntando todas las pequeñas cosas imprescindibles: el teléfono móvil, el cargador, los billetes, el dinero, pastillas para el dolor de cabeza…
2. Controla el tamaño de tu maleta
Cuanto más espacio haya, más cosas meteremos, es un hecho. Prioriza y no te excedas en el tamaño, estarás fuera dos días, no dos meses. Si viajas en avión y el objetivo es no facturar, la cosa se complica. Vigila las medidas especificadas en las condiciones de vuelo de cada compañía aérea.

Sé realista: no necesitas un zapatero completo para tu escapada de fin de semana. Durante el viaje, calza unas zapatillas deportivas casual y, en la maleta, pon unos zapatos sport que puedas ponerte en cualquier ocasión: unos mocasines corinto o unos brogue de ante y suela de goma, por ejemplo.

8. Meter todo en la maleta
Una vez has preparado todo, llega la temible tarea de encajar todo en la maleta o la bolsa elegida, tenemos dos opciones:
a) La maleta En una de las mitades, pon la ropa interior al fondo, no importara si se arruga; encima, el pantalón, seguido de los jerseys, las camisetas y la camisa. Por último, dale la vuelta a tu americana, colócala encima de toda la ropa y mete los sobrantes con cuidado hacia dentro. En la otra mitad, pondremos los zapatos (metidos en una bolsa de fieltro para no manchar el resto de objetos que los acompañan), el neceser y la cámara de fotos, el cargador del móvil, etc... si así nos lo exigen en el transporte que hayamos escogido.

9. Priorizar espacio En muchas ocasiones hay varias prendas que podemos utilizar varios días y, para ahorrar espacio en la maleta, podemos llevar puestas sin problemas durante el viaje. Por ejemplo: una gabardina y un fular en tonos neutros, por si el tiempo no acompaña, un cinturón básico de cuero o un reloj de pulsera.
