No sé si os acordareis que os dije hace poco que las joyas en el hombre deben ser pocas y de buena calidad ( nada de cosas brillantes ni estrambóticas que desvían la atención). Pues bien, he descubierto a un diseñador australiano que os va a flipar; se llama Toby Jones y su colección “Lonely Hearts Club” reúne todas las cualidades que debemos tener en cuenta a la hora de ponernos un anillo o un colgante: calidad, buen diseño, sencillez y, sobre todo, un mensaje; en este caso, llaves.
Las llaves son misteriosas, abren puertas, las cierran, guardan secretos y sólo nosotros tenemos acceso a ellas.
Ese es el mensaje de la colección de Toby Jones que ya se ha convertido casi en un clásico pues hace más de 5 años que las puso en el mercado sin perder un ápice de actualidad.
De hecho todas las piezas ( creadas a partir de bronce blanco o plata esterlina) están envejecidas para dar un aire añejo y nostálgico a las piezas. Son estas.

Keys can mean delicious secrets kept, doors opened or locked up for good. The key motif is central to Australian jewellery designer Toby Jones' latest collection, entitled Lonely Hearts Club.
I really like this small selection of jewellery, it plays on a very strong theme in a rather twisted manor that I enjoy. Made from antique brass, white bronze or sterling silver (depending on which item you get), these pieces of jewellery have a really nice ‘aged’ feel without taking the piss with it.
I’m not too keen on the amber items, but the rest of the collection is amazing and I love the lock & key theme involved.
Esta es la 5a colección de Toby Jones y, según sus propias palabras en alguna entrevista suya a la prensa de su país, es la más robusta y verdadera, pues juega con los símbolos que todos entendemos a primera vista y que más nos llegan a nuestro corazón: las llaves.
Este diseñador australiano es todo un icono en su país. Lleva más de 15 años en la industria y esta considerado como uno de los artistas más versátiles, puente entre el arte y la moda y, sobre todo, capaz de llegar a un público masivo ( algo que le encanta a la industria).
Yo creo que gusta tanto al público porque siempre busca y rebusca en los clásicos para obtener inspiración. Si echais un vistazo a sus colecciones en su web veréis que son una constante reinvención de las obras de arte de las antiguas civilizaciones. Sin duda, un maestro a seguir.
