“Asesinato en el Orient Express” fue el primer libro que leí de Agatha Christie a los16 años. La trama estaba tan bien hecha, los personajes tan enigmáticos y el entorno tan exótico que no podía parar de leerlo y lo “devoré” en menos de 2 días.

Ahora hay una nueva adaptación cinematográfica ( fabulosa, por cierto) y una exposición en el Museo del Ferrocarril de Madrid sobre objetos de la época. No os la perdáis, os va a trasladar al misterio del Orient Express.
"Murder on the Orient Express" was the first book I read of Agatha Christie when I was 16. The plot was so well made, the characters so enigmatic and the environment so exotic that I could not stop reading it and I "devoured" it in less than 2 days.

Las piezas de vestuario van desde vestidos de noche y de paseo, trajes de caballero con alzacuellos pasando por accesorios y complementos de los años treinta, todo ello acompañado de los bocetos originales de la película y rodeado de un entorno único, ya que el Museo del Ferrocarril de Madrid conserva un coche restaurante llamado “Prestige” que data de los años 20 y que está fabricado por la Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits (CIWL) como el famoso convoy de la novela de Agatha Christie.
La exposición está plagada de guiños constantes a la película, que te explican cuál era la forma de vestir adecuada en la época recordando que de cara a cualquier acto hay que saludar educadamente, mantener el decoro, ser puntuales y relacionarte con todo el mundo.
The costume pieces range from evening gowns and outfits, men's suits with collars to accessories and from the thirties, all accompanied by the original sketches of the film and surrounded by the unique environment of the Museum of the Ferrocarril of Madrid. It preserves a restaurant car called "Prestige" that dates back to the 1920s and is manufactured by the Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits (CIWL) as the famous convoy of Agatha Christie's novel.
The exhibition is full of constant winks to the film, which explain what was the right way of dressing at the time, remembering that in any event you have to greet politely, maintain decorum, be punctual and relate to everyone.
Os recomiendo que no os vayáis de la exposición sin ver la maravillosa vajilla de los años 20 que está expuesta y, por supuesto, la visita al vagón-comedor ( donde se desarrolla gran parte de la trama del libro y la película) Un estrecho espacio en el que todos los personajes confluyen y se conocen, y donde Poirot decide realizar las entrevistas individuales a cada uno de ellos. Conversaciones que le permitirán descifrar este complicado enigma
¿Quién cometió el asesinato? Una pista: uno de los objetos de la exposición lo dice, sólo tenéis que estar atentos a las pistas.
I recommend you do not leave the exhibition without seeing the wonderful 20s tableware that is exposed and, of course, the visit to the dining car (where much of the plot of the book and film is developed) A narrow space in which all the characters converge and meet each other, and where Poirot decides to carry out individual interviews with each of them. Conversations that will allow you to decipher this complicated enigma.
Who committed the murder? A clue: one of the objects of the exhibition says it, you only have to be attentive to the clues.
