A Madrid le hacia falta un espacio como Welcome Design; un lugar donde se crea, se comparte y se habla de diseño. Este nuevo estudio es el resultado de la unión de dos veteranos del interiorismo en nuestro país; Envés Diseño y More & More, dos conceptos del diseño aparentemente diferentes (el primero digital y conceptual y el segundo más clásico y artesanal) que han sabido encontrase para crecer juntos, con más fuerza y ofrecer a este mercado tan competitivo una nueva visión mucho más amplia del diseño de interiores.
El espacio está recién inaugurado, de hecho aún huele a pintura, y nace con la vocación de ser centro de referencia de presentación de productos de diseño; un auténtico estudio multiuso y multidisciplinar en pleno centro de Madrid.
Madrid needed a space like Welcome Design; a place where design is meant to be create, share and discuss. This new concept is the result of the union of two veterans interior design studios in Spain; Envés Design and More & More, two apparently different design concepts (the first one digital and conceptual and the second most classic and traditional) that have been able to get together in order to grow stronger, and offer into this competitive market a new much more wide vision about interior design.
The space is newly opened, in fact it still smells like just painting, and was born with the vocation of being a reference center for the presentation of design products; an authentic multipurpose and multidisciplinary studio right in the heart of Madrid.
Nada más entrar en Welcome Design lo que más llama la atención son sus enormes dimensiones, la cuidada iluminación y sus techos tan altos; todo está medido al detalle. Allí me recibe Mar Vera, una de los socios del estudio junto con Manuel Moreno, que me cuenta con pasión cómo se enamoró de este espacio nada más verlo.
El local era una antigua fábrica de lamparas ( supongo que de ahí los techos altos) con luz natural, varios espacios y mucha, mucha historia detrás ( incluso tenía un hangar). "Fue verlo y sentir un flechazo, como un amor a primera vista” me asegura Mar con ojos ilusionados y confiesa el "arduo trabajo que consistió el transformar un espacio meramente industrial en otro dedicado a la decoración y al interiorismo sin perder un ápice de su esencia”, algo que, sin duda, han conseguido.
El estudio se encuentra en el 8 de la Calle del Olivar, en pleno Lavapies; un barrio muy madrileño y multicultural hacia donde muchos artistas se están mudando por su excelente ubicación y buenas perspectivas de negocio. La magnifica fachada del local es la misma que tenía la antigua fábrica de lamparas del finales del XIX, por dentro la atmósfera cambia y nos adentramos en pleno siglo XXI.
As soon as you enter Welcome Design what stands out the most is its enormous dimensions, the careful lighting and its high ceilings; everything is measured in detail. Mar Vera, one of the partners of the studio along with Manuel Moreno, receives and tells me with passion how she felt in love with this space as soon as she saw it.
The place used to be an old lamp factory (I guess that’s why the high ceilings ) with natural light, several spaces and a lot, a lot of history behind (it even had a hangar). "It was seeing it and feeling a crush, like a love at first sight," Mar assures me with delighted eyes and confesses the "hard work that was transforming a merely industrial space into another dedicated to decoration and interior design without losing an iota of its essence ", something that, without doubt, they have achieved.
The studio is located at 8 Calle del Olivar, in the heart of Lavapies; a very Madrid and multicultural neighborhood where many artists are moving because of its excellent location and good business prospects. The magnificent studio has the same façade that old lamp factory had in the lates nineteenth century, inside it the atmosphere changes and we enter into the XXI century.
Welcome Design está formado por un equipo multidisciplinar con mucha experiencia y pasión por el diseño. Lo componen Mar Vera, Manuel Moreno, Esther Moreno y Victor Camacho y, aparte de Madrid, tienen oficinas en Andalucía y Houston, Estados Unidos.
Trabajan cada proyecto como único, mezclando clasicismo y actualidad hasta obtener un resultado elegante, cálido y sereno donde plasman el criterio de cada uno de sus clientes, satisfaciendo sus necesidades. Welcome Design no pretende encasillarse en un solo estilo y para ello crea continuamente nuevas ideas y conceptos sin olvidarse que las tendencias desaparecen pero el estilo es eterno.
Welcome Design is manned by a multidisciplinary team with a lot of experience and passion for design. It is made up of Mar Vera, Manuel Moreno, Esther Moreno and Victor Camacho and, apart from Madrid, they have offices in Andalusia and Houston, United States.
They work each project as unique, mixing classicism and topicality until obtaining an elegant, warm and serene result where they reflect the criteria of each one of their clients, satisfying their needs. Welcome Design does not want to classify itself in a single style and because of that it continuously creates new ideas and concepts without forgetting that trends disappear but style is eternal.
Como veis en las fotos a Welcome Design no le faltan detalles por ningún lado. Un diseño ecléctico en donde la combinación de estilos, colores, luces y muebles con un toque industrial consigue enlazar una armonía de elementos.
Como os dije al principio aparte de ser estudio de diseño de interiores, sus casi 250 m2 están listos para albergar presentaciones, charlas, conferencias y sinergías de todo tipo con el fin de crear, compartir y hablar de lo que ellos más saben; de diseño.
As it can be seen in the pictures, Welcome Design is full of little details anywhere. An eclectic design where the combination of styles, colors, lights and furniture with an industrial touch manages to link a harmony of elements.
As I told you at the beginning apart from being an interior design studio, its almost 250 m are ready to host presentations, talks, conferences and synergies of all kinds in order to create, share and talk about what they know best; of design.
