Bueno pues ya acabó una edición más de la Mercedes Benz Madrid Fashion Week. Esta vez no he podido acudir en persona porque he estado muy liado con otras colaboraciones pero he seguido las colecciones y me he encontrado con la grata sorpresa de que han aumentado algo las propuestas de los diseñadores españoles para nosotros, los hombres. No mucho más, pero menos da una piedra. Si la edición pasada fueron 4 esta vez han sido 9 de un total de 43 diseñadores. Vamos avanzando...poco a poco.
Después de verlas todas, os recomiendo algunas de las propuestas de Roberto Verino, Devota y Lomba, Moises Nieto, Miguel Marinero y Ana locking. Estos 5 diseñadores han presentado una colección pensando en lo que nos sienta bien; sin ruidos ni estridencias pero a la vez propuestas modernas y vanguardistas. He echado en falta los diseños de Ion Fiz y, por supuesto, del genial David Delfín del que espero se recupere pronto.
Oh well, another edition of the Mercedes Benz Madrid Fashion Week is already finished. This time I have not been able to go in person because I have been very involved with other projects but I have followed the collections and I have found with the pleasant surprise that the proposals of the Spanish designers for us men have increased somewhat a litt. Not much more, but less is nothing. If the last edition was 4 this time there have been 9 out of a total of 43 designers. Let's move on ... little by little.
I recommend the proposals of Roberto Verino, Devota and Lomba, Moises Nieto, Miguel Marinero and Ana locking. These 5 designers have presented a collection thinking about what we could feel good; Without noises or stridencies but at the same time modern and avant-garde proposals. I have missed the designs of Ion Fiz and, of course, the great David Delfin.
ROBERTO VERINO
El diseñador gallego nos sorprende con una dualidad masculino-femenino como uno de los leitmotivs que mueven su colección. Para nosotros, el traje de sastre con bermudas se convierte en la apuesta más segura, y lo hace con una paleta cromática que incluye desde el negro hasta el blanco, pasando por el marino y toda una variedad de tonos tierra. Él enseñó su colección de primavera/verano de este año.
The Galician designer surprises us with a masculine-feminine duality as one of the leitmotivs that move his collection. For us, the tailor suit with shorts becomes the safest bet, and it does so with a chromatic palette that includes from black to white, passing by the sailor and a variety of earth tones.
DEVOTA & LOMBA
El modisto viaja hasta Japón con una propuesta para hombre y mujer que encuentra en el traje sastre y el estampado Príncipe de Gales a sus mayores exponentes. Para nosotros apuesta por una versión modernizada del uniforme de judoka hecha traje -tanto para el día como para la noche- en la que el cinturón se confecciona con la misma tela que el resto del 'look'. Es un clásico modernizado muy a tener en cuenta.
The couturier has traveled to Japan with a proposal for a man and woman who finds in the tailor suit and the Prince of Wales print to his greatest exponents. For us, he bet on a modern version of judo uniforms made attire - both for the day and for the night - in which the belt is made with the same fabric as the rest of the look. It is a very modernized classic point of view to keep in mind.
MOISES NIETO
El diseñador andaluz por fin se atrevió a diseñar para hombres y, la verdad, mejor imposible. Outfits clásicos pero con aires rompedores, colores favorecedores y diseños creativos. Es un adelanto de su proyecto masculino Dos Studio -que saldrá a la venta a principios del próximo mes-, en el que no faltan los pantalones con el tobillo descubierto o la clásica 'bomber’. Sus gabardinas y sus bufandas son mi debilidad.
The Andalusian designer finally dared to design for men and, indeed, he did his best. Classic outfits but with breakthrough air, flattering colors and creative designs. It is an advance of his project Dos Studio male, which will go on sale early next month, in which there are not missing the pants with the ankle discovered or the classic 'bomber'. His raincoats and his scarves are my weakness.
MIGUEL MARINERO
El diseñador sacó 2 looks masculinos muy diferentes entre sí pero yo me quedo con este que veis abajo. Es en traje y abrigo de noche con blazer cruzada y pajarita. Todo en blanco y negro. El look, sin ser muy rompedor, me gusta por ser apuesta segura en todo tipo de eventos formales y ATENCION a los zapatos en dos colores estilo años 20. La próxima temporada van a arrasar ( aunque seguramente ya lo estaréis viendo por las calles).
The designer showed 2 very different men looks but I'll stick with this one you see below. It is in evening dress and coat with cross blazer and bow tie. All in black and white. I like the look, without being very breakneck, because is a sure bet in all kinds of formal events and ATTENTION to the shoes in two colors style 20´s. The next season they are going to raze (although surely you will already be seeing it in the streets)
ANA LOCKING
Me gusta esa reivindicación del “black power” de los 60 que hace la diseñadora para la próxima temporada. Su colección de boinas y gafas son muy favorecedoras así como los trajes que nos propone. Casi todo en negro o en tonos oscuros, abrigos XL con maxisolapas, texturas sofisticadas y mucho estilo. No me gustaron sus propuestas en brillo ni la combinación de las bomber con los pantalones cortos.
I like that claim of "black power" of the 60 that makes the designer for the next season. Her collection of berets and glasses are very flattering as well as the suits that he proposes to us. Almost everything in black or in shades, XL coats with maxisolapas, sophisticated textures and style. I did not like her proposals in brightness or the combination of the bomber with the shorts.
Bueno, pues estos han sido los look que mas me han gustado en esta edición de la Mercedes Benz Madrid Fashion Week. Poco a poco parece que los diseñadores nos están incluyendo en sus colecciones aunque aún es una pasarela 95% de moda femenina.
Well, these were the looks that I liked the most in this edition of the Mercedes Benz Madrid Fashion Week. Slowly it seems that the designers are including us in their collections although it is still a 95% female fashion week.
