A veces pasear por Louisiana, el museo de arte moderno de Copenhague, es como hacerlo por el delirio de un artista inquieto y desorientado. Mires donde mires, las formas retorcidas parecen formarse en las sombras, las esculturas parecen fundirse y moldearse en algo nuevo ante tus ojos, los cuadros dan la impresión de estar todavía empapados, secándose sólo cuando pasas junto a ellos y miras hacia atrás.
Así es el Louisiana museum, una joya rodeada de naturaleza, que atrae a los mejores artistas del mundo. Yayoi Kusama, Richard Serra, Sol Lewit, Louise Bourgeois, Alberto Giacometti son algunos de los artistas que podréis admirar tanto dentro, como fuera de sus muros.
Considerado una obra maestra de la arquitectura modernista danesa, su estilo se completa con el discreto modernismo de finales de la década de 1950.
Probablemente este sea uno de mis museos favoritos de todo el mundo.
A walk through Louisiana, Copenhagen's museum of modern art, is sometimes like walking through the delirium of a restless, disoriented artist. Wherever you look, twisted shapes seem to form in the shadows, sculptures seem to melt and mould into something new before your eyes, paintings give the impression of still being soaked, drying only when you walk past them and look back.
This is the Louisiana museum, a real gem surrounded by nature, which attracts the best artists in the world. Yayoi Kusama, Richard Serra, Sol Lewit, Louise Bourgeois, Alberto Giacometti are some of the artists you can admire both inside and outside its walls.
Considered a masterpiece of Danish modernist architecture, its style is completed with the discreet modernism of the late 50s.
This is probably one of my favourite museums in the world!
Louisiana Museum se encuentra en Humlebæk, a sólo 35 km al norte de Copenhague, pero una vez allí parece estar mucho más lejos, tanto que uno se pregunta si está cerca de la capital. Lo primero que se ve son unas cuantas esculturas esparcidas por la ciudad con el océano como telón de fondo. La naturaleza circundante forma parte del museo tanto como las pinturas y esculturas que se encuentran en su interior.
El museo es laberíntico, tanto que a veces te preguntas dónde estás y cómo has llegado hasta allí. Pasear por este espacio colorido y creativo resulta reconfortante, y pasar de una exposición a otra es como emprender tu propio viaje mágico. Si Louis Carrol (el de Alicia en el País de las Maravillas) hiciera museos de arte, probablemente se parecería mucho a esto.Aquí los colores y los sonidos son más vivos que en cualquier otro museo al uso, tanto que todos los sentidos se agudizan.
Con más de 3.000 obras en el museo, aquí hay de todo para todos, sea cual sea su edad.
Louisiana Museum is located in Humlebæk, just 35 km north of Copenhagen, but once there it seems much further away, so much so that it makes you wonder if it is really close to the city. The first thing you see are a few sculptures scattered around the city with the ocean as a backdrop. The surrounding nature is as much a part of the museum as the paintings and sculptures inside.
The museum is labyrinthine, so labyrinthine that you sometimes wonder where you are and how you got there. Strolling through this colourful and creative space is comforting, and moving from one exhibition to the next is like embarking on your own magical journey. If Louis Carrol (of Alice in Wonderland) made art museums, it would probably look a lot like this: here the colours and sounds are more vivid than in any other museum, so much so that all the senses are heightened.
With over 3,000 works in the museum, there's something for everyone, no matter what your age is.
Sorprendentemente, el museo Louisiana abrió por primera vez en 1958. Y digo sorprendente porque en una ciudad como Copenhague, donde la arquitectura y el diseño están a la vanguardia de todo, el museo sigue de máxima actualidad hoy en día.
La primera sección de Louisiana te lleva a través de una interpretación moderna del cubismo antes de que te encuentres con una enorme sala con ventanas del suelo al techo que descubren el bosque y el lago del exterior. Lo mejor de este lugar es que incluso se puede salir al jardín y dar un pequeño paseo alrededor del lago.
En el exterior, escondido entre los árboles, hay un enorme tobogán (te dije que había para todos los gustos). No sé muy bien qué significa, pero, como el resto del museo, no puede dejar de hacerte sonreír.
Vale, sin duda, la pena visitar esta mágico lugar y dedicarle el tiempo suficiente para disfrutar de la experiencia al completo.
It was surprising that the Louisiana Museum first opened in 1958. And I say surprising because in a city like Copenhagen, where architecture and design are at the forefront of everything, the museum is still very much relevant today.
The first section of Louisiana takes you through a modern interpretation of cubism before you come across a huge room with floor-to-ceiling windows that reveal the forest and lake outside. The best thing about this place is that you can even go out into the garden and take a little stroll around the lake.
Outside, hidden in the trees, there is a huge slide (I told you there was something for everyone). I'm not quite sure what it means, but, like the rest of the museum, it can't fail to make you smile.
It is definitely worth visiting this magical place and taking the right amount of time to enjoy the whole experience.
