Creo que podemos dar por finalizado el minimalismo. Al menos eso es lo que deduzco viendo por dónde van los decoradores en Casa Decor 2016. Y me encanta. Tengo que reconocer que estaba empezando a hartarme del "menos es mas" y de verlo todo en tonos grises, claros o semioscuros. En esta edición predomina el "más es más" y hay una explosión de color que echaba en falta en la decoración de años pasados.
Me fascina la idea de jugar con los colores y los materiales, de colocar espejos en los pasillos para dar amplitud y viveza a las viviendas, de aprovechar haste el último rincón de los hogares, de experimentar con todo tipo de materiales, de combinar luz natural y artificial sin ningún complejo, en definitiva de hacer de tu casa el rincón donde no saldrías nunca. ¿ Y dónde? En Casa Decor.

Este año Casa Decor celebra su 51ª edición hasta el 26 de este mes de junio en la Casa Palacio Atocha 34 de Madrid, una magnífica edificación de 1885, reformada en 2006, que cuenta con 4.000 m2. Las generosas dimensiones del edificio han permitido crear 63 espacios decorados, un número sensiblemente superior al de otras ediciones, que suele rondar los 50 espacios.
Allí vais a ver más de 130 interioristas, arquitectos, diseñadores, artistas y paisajistas que han proyectado, en total libertad creativa, ambientes de diferentes tipologías: salones multimedia, zonas de estar y relax, dormitorios espléndidos con cuartos de baño integrados, comedores, cocinas y estancias multifuncionales que se adaptan a las nuevas formas de vivir. Creedme, es una de las pocas veces que me resultó difícil hacer una selección para vosotros.

Dando un paseo por Casa Decor os daréis cuenta enseguida que el blanco y la madera siguen estando presentes en decoración, pero cada vez mas parece que color está ganando terreno. No sólo en pequeños detalles, sino cada vez con más protagonismo en murales, papeles pintados, muebles y cuadros de gran tamaño. Los jardines se cuelan en casa y adornan todas las estancias de la casa. Desde la cocina hasta el baño. En Casa Decor hemos visto como muchos de los diseñadores y artistas han incluido las plantas (naturales y no naturales) como elemento decorativo para sus espacios. Las plantas naturales aparecen incluso colgadas en la pared, en un vaso, como hacíamos de pequeños con las lentejas. Los jardines verticales han demostrado este año en Casa Decor cómo pueden crear espacios ‘abiertos’ en espacios cerrados. Con un buen jardín interior puedes sentirte en plena naturaleza sin salir de casa.

From the kitchen to the bathroom in Casa Decor I've seen that many designers and artists have included natural or artificial plants as a decorative element for the spaces. Natural plants appear even hung on the wall, in a glass, as we did with lentils when we were children . Las paredes lisas son cosa de otro siglo. Los papeles pintados y las telas cubren, al menos, una pared de cada habitación, baño, cocina o salón de Casa Decor. Es una de las tendencias más vistas en esta edición y probablemente, de las que más se van a usar en futuros hogares. ¿Razones? Es un material barato, se adapta a todo tipo de paredes y transforma el espacio sin necesidad de pinturas y reformas. Hace tiempo que los cuartos de bajo dejaron de ser meros espacios para tomar asearnos, ahora son lugares de relax donde sentirnos bien, mimar nuestro cuerpo y darnos la importancia que merecemos. Este año los baños en Casa Decor se vuelven más hogareños si cabe. Tampoco aquí veo una tendencia marcada, lo que sí predomina es la abundancia de plantas y macetas en los aseos así como la innovación en grifería mucho más funcional que en ediciones anteriores.
Bathrooms are no longer just a space to take a quit shower ,they are now relaxing places where you can feel good , pamper your body and give us the importance we deserve. This year the bathrooms in Casa Decor become more homelike if it is possible. Even here I see a not strong trend , what prevails is the abundance of plants and pots in the toilets and innovation taps are much more functional than in previous editions.
En definitiva, tanto si os gusta la decoración como si os da igual yo creo que Casa Decor NO os dejará indiferente. Pocas veces se tiene la oportunidad de disfrutar de la libre creación de los mejores diseñadores de espacios de nuestro país reunidos en un mismo edificio.
También tenemos que dejar al lado prejuicios sobre si la decoración de los hogares es sólo cosas de mujeres y que a nosotros sólo nos quieren para decir sí o no. Hay que tomar cartas en el asunto e implicarnos en la decoración de la casa donde vamos a vivir, en una reforma o simplemente en un cambio de estilo.
Estar rodeados de personas que nos aman en un hogar precioso y bien decorado nos van a aportar bienestar y felicidad. Sólo tenéis 2 semanas más para disfrutar de este evento.
