Esta Navidad ha sido especial: por fin he conocido la Patagonia. Los antiguos navegantes llamaban a estas tierras “el fin del mundo” y creo que de alguna forma aún lo es. La sensación de aislamiento acompaña siempre y la grandeza de la naturaleza abruma a todas horas. Aunque no lo parezca por la nieve y el viento aquí ,en Navidad, es verano y es la única estación del año en la que se puede visitar esta zona (aún así el tiempo es impredecible y en un mismo día puede llover, salir el sol o soplar un viento fortísimo).
Mi Navidad ha transcurrida tranquilo y muy sereno. Maravillado por la belleza del entorno del Parque Nacional de las Torres del Paine en Chile y en mitad del lago Pehoe.
This year ,Christmas has been special: I have known the Patagonia. The ancient navigators used to call this grounds “the end of the world” and I believe that in some ways still is. The sense of isolation always accompanies and the nobility of the nature overwhelms at any time.
Here is summer time although it does not look like because of the snow and the wind and it’s Christmas so it's time for celebration. My Christmas has passed calm and very serene. Astonished by the beauty of the National park of the Towers del Paine in Chile and in half of the lake Pehoe.
Qué lejos queda el bullicio de Madrid, las compras navideñas, las quedadas con los amigos y tantas cosas que nos parecen imprescindibles y que, sin duda, no lo son. Es en estas situaciones donde te das cuenta que lo único que importa es disfrutar del entorno, de la naturaleza y de las maravillas que te ofrece la vida.
Más allá de las creencias religiosas, creo que la Navidad es momento de reflexionar y dar gracias por todo lo bueno que nos rodea. A mi me gusta recordar en esta época del año a los que ya no están conmigo pero me queda su recuerdo y su eterno cariño. Para mi eso es Navidad: reflexión y coger aire, mucho aire fresco para seguir adelante.
Far is the hustle and bustle of Madrid, the Christmas shopping, meeting friends and many things that seem to us to be essential and, without doubt, are not. It is in situations like this one where you realize that the only thing that matters is to enjoy the environment of nature and the wonders that life gives you. Beyond the religious beliefs, I think that Christmas is a time to reflect and give thanks for all the good that is with us. I like to remember at this time of year to those who are no longer with me but I have them in my memory with eternal love. For me that is Christmas: reflection and take air, a lot of fresh air to move forward.
No sé si volveré a esta zona de la Patagonia chilena pero lo que sí sé es que siempre permanecerá conmigo de una forma u otra. El Parque Nacional de las Torres del Paine es una de las maravillas de la naturaleza que te marcan para toda tu vida; por su paisaje, por su dureza y por saber que a tan sólo 1000 kilometros más abajo está la Antártida y eso abruma.
Una vez más GRACIAS a la vida por permitirme ver y disfrutar de todas las maravillas que ofrece.
I do not know if I will return to this part of the Chilean Patagonia but one thing I know is that it will always remain with me one way or another. The National park of the Towers del Paine is one of the marvels of the nature that will mark you for the rest of your life; for its beauty, for its hardness and knowing that only 1000 kilometers further down is the South Pole and that overwhelms a lot.
Once again THANKS TO life for allowing to see and enjoy all the marvels that it offers.
