No sé si es un cliché o no pero a todos nosotros nos gusta que, de vez en cuando, alguien nos regale flores. Una planta o un buen ramo puede significar muchas cosas, pero sobre todo, una por encima de todas: me importas. Cualquier momento es bueno y toda ocasión es siempre la correcta cuando se trata de regalar flores a alguien a quien quieres.
Pero, ¿Qué tipo de planta o flor nos gusta a nosotros, los hombre? ¿Unas rosas? ¿Margaritas?...
Sé que para gustos colores, pero es bueno tener en cuenta que todos tenemos algunas cosas en común:
1. Tendemos a preferir formas fuertes y marcadas, así como colores llamativos y audaces.
2. Las flores y las plantas exóticas suelen ser las nuestras preferidas, como por ejemplo las orquídeas.
3. En cuanto a regalar flores o plantas solemos decantarnos más por las segundas. Son siempre una buena elección porque traen vida a las casas y oficinas, además de ser más duraderas que las flores.
4. Cuanto más duras y resistentes sean, mejor que mejor. Cuidados sencillos, fáciles de seguir, y que garanticen que siempre estarán a nuestro lado.

1. Rosa de Jericó o rosa del desierto
¿Una rosa dentro de una pecera? Pues sí, así se mantiene la famosa rosa del desierto que, en realidad, no es una rosa, sino un helecho o arbusto. Los griegos la llamaban “rosa de la resurrección”, ya que esta planta tiene la capacidad de adaptarse a las condiciones climáticas que la rodean. Si el ambiente es seco y sin agua se cierra en una bola de color marrón mustio, en cambio, cuando la humedad crece, se despliega hasta abrirse completamente y adquirir un tono más verdoso.
En la Edad Media, los adivinos y curanderos la usaban para prever las lluvias y los cambios de tiempo y también como talismán con propiedades mágicas. En la actualidad, este misticismo aún acompaña a la rosa del desierto; quien sabe si cumplirá deseos o no, pero, ¿qué pierdes en probarlo? Regálasela a un hombre especial dentro de una pecera llena de agua con monedas para atraer a la buena suerte.

2. Bonsái
