Si alguien hay que hacer caso en todo lo referente a la moda y las tendencias masculinas, ese es a García Madrid.
En una pasarela eminentemente femenina como es la madrileña Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, es de agradecer que alguien trate a la moda hombre con respeto y no como algo de segunda categoría.
Y aunque el nombre de García Madrid sea para algunos una novedad en el calendario de MBFWM, la verdad es que el creador lleva tiempo hilvanado a esta pasarela. No es la primera vez que desfila en Ifema, pero en los últimos años ha preferido estar en OFF.
Su desfile estuvo lleno de prendas atrevidas, por el color y los tejidos brillantes, que están hechas siguiendo las directrices de la sastrería clásica. El buen hacer de Manuel, el director creativo, es quizá el mejor reclamo en este mundo tan competitivo.
La moda masculina vive, sin duda, un buen momento gracias, entre otros, a García Madrid.

Los abrigos llaman poderosamente la atención, por su elegancia y modernidad. Y los tejidos no pasan desapercibidos, sobre todo lo que utiliza para los trajes.
García Madrid no tiene miedo a las texturas más especiales, ni a los colores más osados. Tiene un cliente fiel, nacional e internacional, que aprecia lo que ve en redes sociales y en los desfiles.
Su bandera de tejidos es natural, rica en matices y noble. En la colección conviven mates y brillos, como los algodones y las lanas de acabo de seda. Vemos mucho tencel, pero con acabado satinado, que da un efecto perfecto para la noche. También hay muchos blancos, desde el nata montada al crema, colores atrevidos y negro. Algunos van muy texturizados, otros muy decorados, otros muy trabajados.

Sin duda una colección muy enfocada a lo comercial. Y es que, como ha asegurado el propio Manuel Garcia una y mil veces "yo quiero vender y dar de comer a toda la gente con la que trabajo. Yo no quiero estar en un museo ni que mi ropa esté en una vitrina".
Sin duda García Madrid vive el diseño con pasión y con los pies en la tierra, haciendo de la sastrería masculina objeto de deseo para hombres de todas las edades, a los que les gusta “ser libres a la hora de vestir”, recalcó antes de saltar al ruedo en la tercera jornada de la pasarela madrileña.
Pues nada, a vestirse todos de García Madrid.
