Bueno, ya me hubiese gustado a mi llamarme James Bond aunque solamente sea para conducir algunos de esos maravillosos coches de última generación con volantes de cuero, asientos de terciopelo, llantas de aleación, millones de caballos (y así hasta el infinito) que aparecen en sus pelis porque Bond es, sobre todo acción, mucha acción.
Y eso es lo que me encontré en la exposición “Bond in Motion” en Londres; más de cincuenta automóviles, submarinos y avionetas que han aparecido en las 26 películas de la prestigiosa saga británica. Además la banda sonora de las películas envuelve las salas y varias proyecciones recuerdan las persecuciones más trepidantes y famosas del agente secreto británico.
Así que ya me veis allí, haciendo un poco el ganso y queriendome parecer al malo de las pelis de Bond que, por cierto, a mi siempre me han molado mucho más.
Well, I would have loved to call myself James Bond if only to drive some of those wonderful cars of last generation with leather ruffles, velvet seats, alloy wheels, a lot of power (and so on to infinity) that appear in the movies because Bond is, above al,l action, a lot of action.
And that's what I found in the "Bond in Motion" exhibition in London; more than fifty cars, submarines and small planes that have appeared in the 26 films of the prestigious British saga. In addition, the soundtrack of the films surrounds the rooms and several projections recall the most exciting and famous persecutions of the British secret agent.
So you are seeing me there, doing a little fool and wanting to look like the bad guy in Bond movies that, by the way, I've always been much cooler.
Han pasado más de 40 años desde que Sean Connery hiciera su primera aparición en la pantalla como 007 contra el Doctor No y ,22 películas después y con Daniel Craig en el papel protagonista, la serie continúa con la misma fuerza. Una guía interactiva permite al visitante convertirse en espía si se responde correctamente a los cuestionarios acerca de James Bond. Todo, claro, con la seguridad de no tener que huir en una peligrosa carrera automovilística contra alguno de los malvados de sus películas. Los vestidos de algunas de las conocidas como chicas Bond siguen a una reproducción del despacho de los servicios secretos donde el agente recibía las instrucciones para sus misiones.
In the 1960s, an Italian journalist famously referred to James Bond as Mr Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Bond certainly does a lot of kissing and a lot of shooting, but he actually spends far more time driving around like a maniac in a multitude of extraordinary vehicles—from sports cars and speed boats to motorbikes to moon buggies.
Now, thanks to the London Film Museum, an unprecedented number of these motorised purveyors of mayhem are being gathered together in a single space in an unforgettable exhibition.
Exhibits include the yellow and black 1937 Rolls-Royce Phantom III Sedanca de Ville driven by the eponymous baddy in Goldfinger, the classic Ford Mustang Mach 1 from Diamonds Are Forever, and the sleek Lotus Esprit S1 from The Spy Who Loved Me which converts into a submarine.
También se pueden ver las maquetas de los aviones, barcos, helicópteros, zeppelines y todo tipo de medios de locomoción con el que Bond tuvo que contar en alguna de sus aventuras para escapar. En las paredes del museo cuelgan los posters con las fotos de los cinco actores que han llevado a la pantalla grande al agente secreto, desde Sean Connery hasta Daniel Craig, pasando por Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan, Timothy Dalton y George Lazenby.
La exposición incluye miniaturas de helicópteros y avionetas, pasaportes y armas usados por James Bond, motocicletas, lanchas acuáticas y varios coches destrozados, que muestran el resultado de las escenas de más arriesgadas de las películas de esta exitosas saga.
And there is, of course, an Aston Martin DB-5—the achingly beautiful silver sports car first used by Bond in Goldfinger, before cropping up in several other films, including GoldenEye—the film in which this particular car was used.
It’s not all high performance glamour though—alongside all that horsepower there’s a battered three-wheeled Indian Tuk-Tuk taxi from Octopussy.
The vehicles in the museum are accompanied by wall sized posters or video projections, showing the scene in which the vehicle is featured. The photos and videos are well chosen and add a lot to the Bond atmosphere. Another great thing about the exhibition is that you as a visitor can get really close to the vehicles, so you can marvel at the details of each machine.

Pues las características del personaje son las de un hombre frío, inteligente, eficaz, extremadamente observador, audaz, implacable, decente, reservado y elegante, y quizás una de sus características más notables en todas las películas de James Bond es la gran habilidad de poder atraer bellas mujeres fácilmente.
Mientras que entre el público masculino se presenta como una espectacular figura de acción, el femenino lo define como un apuesto galán que posee un irresistible encanto hacia las mujeres. ¿Y tú, te identificas con el agente 007? A mi me siguen gustando más los malos de sus pelis.

While among the male audience he is presented as a spectacular figure of action, the feminine defines him as a handsome gallant who possesses an irresistible charm towards women. And you, do you identify with agent 007? I still like more the bad guys in his movies.
