Con más de un mes de retraso podemos afirmar que, por fin, el otoño ha llegado. Para mí es la estación del año más mágica y poderosa, es como si la naturaleza se durmiese por unos meses para volverse a despertar con todo su esplendor en primavera. Y, en cierto modo, nosotros los humanos hacemos un poco lo mismo, nos adaptamos a los días más cortos, dormimos un poco más y postergamos nuestros grandes planes para cuando venga el buen tiempo.
Por eso es en otoño cuando más me gusta ir a los bosques para sentir y ver cómo va cambiando el entorno. El verde de las hojas de algunos arboles se van tornando de multitud de tonos ocres, rojos y dorados que hacen de la propia naturaleza el espectáculo más bonito del mundo.
Empieza el otoño. A disfrutarlo.
With more than a month delay we can affirm that, finally, fall time has arrived. For me it is the most magical and powerful season of the year, it is as if nature fell asleep for a few months to wake up a few months later with all its splendor in spring. And, in a way, we humans do a little bit the same, adapting to the shorter days, sleeping a little more and postponing our big plans for when the good weather comes.
That is why it is in autumn when I like to go to the forrest to feel and see how everything is changing. The green leaves of some trees become a multitude of ocher, red and gold tones that make nature itself the most beautiful show in the world.
The autumn begins. Let's enjoy it.
Todo este maravilloso paraje que estáis viendo está en la ribera del río Madalena, a su paso por un pueblecito que se llama Vilalba en Lugo. Pasear desde aquí hasta un pequeño molino que allí se conoce por el Muíño do Rañego, a unos 500 m, nos permite admirar un camino con presas y molinos especialmente agradable al atardecer en el que es frecuente encontrarse con garzas y patos.
Además, en esta parte el río forma una isla cubierta por árboles autóctonos y ornamentales a la que se puede acceder por un pequeño puente.
Yo estas fotos las tomé sobre el mediodía cuando el sol estaba alto y los colores en todo su apogeo, pero estoy seguro que al atardecer las tonalidades hubieran sido otras diferentes e igual de cautivadoras.
All this wonderful place that you are seeing is located on the banks of the Madalena River, on its way through a small village called Vilalba in Lugo, northern Spain. Strolling from here to a small mill that is known there as the Muíño do Rañego, about 500 m, allows us to admire a road with dams and mills especially nice at sunset in which it is common to find herons and ducks.
Also, in this part the river forms an island covered by autochthonous and ornamental trees that can be accessed by a small bridge.
I took the photos about noon when the sun was high and the colors in full swing, but I'm sure at sunset the tonalities would have been different and just as captivating.
Dicen que cada persona ama la estación del año en la que vio la vida. En mi caso es así. Yo nací casi en los últimos días del otoño y quizás sea por eso que siempre me planteo estos meses como una especie de renacer.
Reflexiono sobre el pasado, pienso en el futuro, me gusta estar con los míos, procuro tomarme las cosas con calma y me pasa un poco como a las marmotas, duermo mucho ( aunque a mí siempre me parece poco).
En fin, un año más, seas bienvenido otoño dorado.
It is said that each person loves the season of the year in which he or she was born. In my case it is like that. I was born almost in the last days of autumn and maybe that's why I always consider these months as a kind of rebirth.
I usually reflect on the past and think about the future, I like being with my people and try to take things calmly. I also love sleeping as much as I can ( like marmots) and dressing warm winter clothes.
So, one more year, you are welcome my golden autumn.
