El metro de Estocolmo no solo es un medio de transporte más en la ciudad, es toda una atracción turística. Con sus 110 kilómetros de túneles y estaciones, el metro de Estocolmo es considerado la galería de arte más extensa del mundo.
Y es que Desde hace varios años, los artistas locales se dedican a pintar los túneles del metro y a esculpir formas fantásticas en las estaciones para darle a cada una de ellas una temática propia.
Un auténtico museo subterráneo que lo puedes recorrer mientras visitas la ciudad con tranquilidad. Es curioso ver cómo la casi la totalidad de las paradas que integran la red están intervenidas tanto en sus estructuras como en sus superficies. Alrededor de 150 artistas han dejado su marca, ya sea con pinturas enormes que ocupan buena parte de los techos y paredes, esculturas elaboradas de acuerdo a las temáticas de cada estación o masivas construcciones arquitectónicas que dan la sensación de estar paseando entre los restos de civilizaciones perdidas.

T-Centralen: llena de azulejos blancos y azules que forman auténticas enredaderas en el techo y en las paredes, la estación que sirve de engranaje para las principales líneas del centro de Estocolmo es una de las más llamativas.
Kungsträdgarden: es un verdadero jardín subterráneo. El techo está pintado de verde y el suelo combina varios tonos y formas que la convierten en una de las estaciones más bonitas de Estocolmo.
Rådhuset: una auténtica cueva se esconde en esta estación. Las paredes de tierra y el techo abrupto simulan una auténtica cueva vikinga. Sin duda es la estación más asombrosa del metro de Estocolmo.
Thorildsplan: es la estación favorita de los amantes de los videojuegos. Los azulejos de las paredes simulan figuras de los comecocos y otros juegos de los años ochenta.
